According to Pronet Advertising, via Comscore, the majority of Facebook’s users are still ’in the 18-24 year range with the average user making $76,000 a year.’ Maybe the job market has severely changed since I graduated, but I don’t think there are many 24 year olds (1-3 years out of college) pulling in $76k a year.

It is not their income, it is total household income. Most of the Facebook users are college aged or just graduated and living with their parents still. Don’t worry, the market has not changed that much.

That does seem rather high!
So does the estimate for the average 39 yr old user of Linkedin at 139k, either that or I severely need a raise…
quote: The average LinkedIn user is 39 years old and makes $139,000 a year.

Agreed - I don’t see that as being accurate unless LinkedIn is factoring in the final takes of its Hedge Fund Manager members.
It’s also counter intuitive because the people using LinkedIn are often those needing to network (i.e. looking for new opportunities and jobs). My guess is that if the vast majority were making $140,000K per year, there would be a lot less use of the network
